What you'll find

Grease and scale buildup, root intrusion at joints, collapsed and offset sections, foreign objects, corrosion in metal lines, and standing water where a fall has gone wrong. In HVAC work: duct debris, disconnected runs, and fouled evaporator coils.

Cable choice matters most here

Semi-rigid push cable is what makes pipe work practical — it has enough column strength to feed itself along a run and enough memory to hold a bend at a junction. Ralcam semi-rigid cables come in 1 m, 2 m, and 3 m with camera diameters of 6.2 mm and 8.5 mm; the larger head carries brighter LEDs, which is what you want in a dark, wet line.
